Rednitzhembacher Kunstweg

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Rednitzhembacher Kunstweg is a sculpture path in Rednitzhembach in Central Franconia . The artists come from Germany and other countries. The works of art are spread all over the place.

The art trail is over eight kilometers long; all works of art can be viewed on foot in around two and a half hours. Alternatively, there are two shorter hiking trails, which, however, do not include all sculptures.

Emergence

In 1994 the citizens of Rednitzhembach donated a wooden figure weighing around two tons by the Schwabach artist Clemens Heinl, the Holzmoh (or two tons of fear in oak ) and erected it on the Rednitz . In 1995 the work of art Schütze mit Apfel by Thomas Volkmar Held (TEVAUHA) was added and in September 2000 the star gate by Klaus Leo Drechsel.

In 2000 it was decided to expand the number of sculptures and create an art path. Several artists created their works at a symposium in the building yard in Rednitzhembach. Established artists from the region contributed to this, and interested citizens of Rednitzhembach and entire school classes were able to look over their shoulders.

Since then, more works of art have been added continuously.
