Clemens Heinl

Clemens Heinl (* 1959 in Schwabach ) is a German sculptor.

biography

Clemens Heinl trained as an orthopedic mechanic from 1974 to 1978 and worked in the orthopedic technology area until 1986. From 1986 to 1992 he studied sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Nuremberg under Wilhelm Uhlig. Heinl has been working as a freelance artist since 1993. In 1989 he received the Danner Prize , in 1994 the Art Prize of the Nürnberger Nachrichten and in 1996 the Karl Rössing scholarship from the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich. Heinl also took part in sculpture symposia in Antalya (2003) and Denizli (1998) in Turkey as well as in Kronach (1999) and Georgensgmünd (2000). In 2002 he took on a teaching position at the Coburg University of Applied Sciences . In 2005 he was awarded the Kulmbach City Art Prize.
