Redwatch

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Redwatch (in German about "Monitoring the Reds") is a right-wing extremist website from Great Britain. There names and pictures and sometimes even addresses of political opponents are published and threatened that “they all pay for their crimes.” Among other things, journalists who have expressed themselves critically on the subject of right-wing extremism are affected. Its aim is to unsettle and frighten critics.

The website was created by Simon Sheppard, a former member of the British National Party and activist of the right-wing extremist network Blood & Honor . To fall victim to Redwatch, it is often enough to take part in demonstrations .

A large part of the offer consists of pictures of demonstrators, which are published without a personal reference. In the meantime there was also a German-speaking and a Polish-speaking offshoot.

The original domains were shut down by the UK authorities in 2006. Polish and English versions are still available (as of April 2009), the latter from US servers.

The website can be assigned to the anti-antifa movement.
