Thomas Grumke

Thomas Grumke (* 1970 ) is a German political scientist , extremism researcher and former secret service -Staff.

biography

Grumke studied political and literary studies in Osnabrück , Ottawa , New York , Berlin and Frankfurt / Oder . He received his doctorate in 1999 from the European University of Frankfurt (Oder) with his thesis on right-wing extremism in the USA .

In Berlin, Grumke was a lecturer at the John F. Kennedy Institute for North American Studies at the Free University of Berlin. He also worked at the Center for Democratic Culture , where, together with the founder and director Bernd Wagner, he published the manual for right-wing radicalism in 2002 .

From 2004 to 2012 he was a research assistant in the Office for the Protection of the Constitution in the Ministry of the Interior in North Rhine-Westphalia and a lecturer in political science at the Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf . In this context, Grumke was in charge of all three editions of the comic series Andi (artist Peter Schaaff ) of the NRW Office for the Protection of the Constitution.

Since September 1, 2012, Grumke has been Professor of Political Science and Sociology at the University of Applied Sciences for Public Administration in North Rhine-Westphalia.

He also published books for the Friedrich Ebert Foundation in the topic right-wing .
