history

Her first release, The New Anthem, was a number one hit on the US dance charts. The sound of the project can be described as a US dance floor with ragga influences. But they had their biggest hit with the following single I Like To Move It as Reel 2 Real featuring The Mad Stuntman. It not only made it into the official US Hot 100, in Europe it was a top 10 hit in many countries, reaching number 3 in Germany and number 5 in Great Britain, for example. In France it was even the number for 5 weeks 1. After that they were very successful, especially in Europe, and had numerous other successes up to 1996. The film Madagascar (2005) brought Reel 2 Real's song I Like To Move It back to a new level of awareness. In 2012, the song was used in a cover version of the Ukrainian band Los Colorados as a soccer hit by ZDF for the 2012 European Soccer Championship .
