Reflection Eternal is an American hip-hop duo consisting of Talib Kweli and Hi-Tek .
history
The two artists met while working on Hi-Tek's mixtape Hustle on the Side . Shortly thereafter, they appeared together in 1997 on the title Industry Lies of Mood's debut album Doom . In the same year Kweli and Hi-Tek signed with the newly founded hip-hop label Rawkus Records and introduced their band name Eternal Reflection for the first time on the sampler Rawkus Records Soundbombing .
In 1998, Kweli worked with Mos Def on the joint album Black Star , which they released as a duo under the name Black Star . Hi-Tek contributed to the production of some songs for Black Star .
Two years later, Kweli and Hi-Tek got back together. This time to finally produce the first joint album Train of Thought . After Train of Thought , both artists returned to their solo careers and things got quieter around Reflection Eternal.
In 2008 they announced that they would work on a second album together. Revolutions Per Minute was released on May 18, 2010.
