history
In 1927 Gottfried Bacher founded a health food store in Osnabrück based on the guidelines of life reform . In 1979 the Remscheid-based Hans Schürmann took over the 11 branches and gradually expanded the company with his sons to cross-regional activities. In 2001, for example, 26 branches of the Schmelz health food store from Hanover were integrated.
The product range is still based on the above guidelines and includes items for daily consumption: food, dietary supplements, dietetic foods, personal care, natural cosmetics and natural medicinal products. The focus of the offer is on foods in the sense of wholefood nutrition such as wholemeal bread, plant-based foods, gluten-free , vegan or vegetarian, non-alcoholic drinks, medicinal herbs, natural remedies or tonics (tonics ) .
