Belp Reformed Church
The Belp Church is the Reformed Church of the communities of Belp and Toffen in the canton of Bern , Switzerland .
history
The Belp church appears for the first time in a cartular form of the diocese of Lausanne from 1228, it was consecrated to the apostles Peter and Paul. Clara von Waldberg, widow of the indebted Ulrich von Belp, had to sell the church set to the Interlaken monastery in 1334 . After the 1453 visitation, the church had three altars. With the Reformation, the parish of Belp, to which the villages of Belp, Belpberg, Englisberg (until 1699), Ober- and Niedermuhlern (until 1699), Toffen and Zimmerwald (until 1699) belonged, came to the city of Bern .
