History and equipment

inner space

The church is a building from the years 1741–44 on the foundation of a chapel attested to in pre-Reformation times. The baroque sacred building, which can accommodate a good 200 people, was last restored in 1972/73.

The bell chamber in the tower, which connects to the facade in the south, carries three bells, the smallest of which was cast in 1492 and was already hanging in the previous chapel.

The apse in the choir , at the center of which is a narrow baptismal font that also serves as a table for the Lord's Supper , closes with the painting On the Morning of the Resurrection from 1915 by the artist Augusto Giacometti , who comes from Bergell .
