The Reformed Church in Tschierv in Val Müstair is a Protestant - Reformed church under the monument of the canton of Grisons . It was last restored from 1995 to 1997.

History and equipment

The church is documented in 1471. In the middle of the 17th century after the end of the turmoil in Graubünden and the devastation that followed in the village, the church was rebuilt. The tower, which until then had been crowned by eyelashes , was given a pointed helmet in 1887 .

The organ is the work of the Tyrolean organ builder family Fuchs . At the beginning of the 19th century it was built into the church in S-chanf in the Upper Engadin until it came to Tschierv in 1904. The organ dominates the church interior, in the center of which is the baptismal font , on which the Lord's Supper is celebrated.

Church organization

The Evangelical Reformed Regional Church of Graubünden runs Tschierv as the preaching place of the merged parish Val Müstair, into which the longstanding pastoral community of the upper Münstertal merged with Fuldera and Lüsai-Lü in 2013. The parish is part of the Colloquium VIII Engiadina Bassa - Val Müstair .
