history

Started in the third division, in 1989 she was promoted to the second division . Two years later they were promoted to the 1st Bundesliga , the championship in the 2nd division was decided by the direct comparison they had won against the Königsbrunn Ants . In the Bundesliga, the Royals reached the playoffs for the German Bowl in their first season in 1992 . In front of 2,410 spectators in Berlin, they had to admit defeat to reigning champions Berlin Adler with 14:27 in the quarter-finals . In 1994 they reached the playoffs again, but had to admit defeat to the Berlin Adlers in the quarter-finals, in front of 2,317 spectators, with 22:42. In 1995 the Royals could only win two more victories and ended the season in penultimate place. For financial reasons and a lack of players, the Royals withdrew from the 1st Bundesliga in the spring of 1996, shortly before the start of the new season.
