Regina Rinke

Regina Rinke (born January 23, 1936 ) comes from Wildflecken , is a teacher and was president of the Rhön Club .

Rinke was President of the Rhön Club between 1989 and 2011. She announced her resignation in 2011 because of internal differences with her successor; however, withdrew her announcement.

During her term of office, the revival of the Rhönklub tradition in Thuringia, the organization of the German Hiking Day 2008 and the opening of the Hochrhöner hiking trails and its extra tours , for which she and her husband are pioneers, as well as the Rhön-Paulus-Weg, Rhön-Rennsteig- Weg , Abtsweg, Ortweg and Karolingerweg. She is the recipient of the Rhön Culture Prize and was made honorary president in 2013. After her term of office, she devoted herself to building a school in Rwanda .
