Reginald Fielding
Reginald Fielding (born April 9, 1909 in London , † November 25, 1983 in Toronto ) was a Canadian cyclist .
Athletic career
As a child, "Reggie" moved with his family to Toronto and later became a Canadian citizen. Fielding, who in 1929 with the cycling began, was a specialist in Six Days , he drove his first professional race in 1929. During his career as a professional six-day racer took Reggie to 62 Sechstagerennen part, which was then in almost every major city in North America were held. During his career, Fielding won six six-day races, finished four times second, seven times third and four times fourth. Fielding was also successful in the three-six-day races, winning the six-day triple in Toronto in the fall of 1934 with partners Freddy Ottevaire and Jimmy Walthour . In December 1934 Fielding won the six-day race in Minneapolis with Heinz Vopel and Piet Van Kempen . He contested his last race in December 1938.
