Regional penny

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

After the “period of the supraregional pfennig ” from the middle of the 8th to the middle of the 10th century , which followed Charlemagne's coin reform , the time of the regional pfennig began . With the increasing allocation of the coin rack to other coin stands, different types of penny emerged. The most important ones include the Regensburg pfennig , the Sachsenpfennig , also known as the Wendenpfennig , and the Otto Adelheid pfennig . This meant that there was no longer any uniformity in weight and fineness .
