Regional Forest Office Ostwestfalen-Lippe
The regional forest office of Ostwestfalen-Lippe , based in Minden , East Westphalia, is one of 14 regional forest offices of the State Forest and Wood Office of North Rhine-Westphalia . It was created on July 1, 2007 through the merger of the former forest offices of Minden, Lage and Bielefeld . Due to its location, it can be described as the northernmost in North Rhine-Westphalia, two thirds of which is also the state border with Lower Saxony.
Responsibilities and duties
The forestry office is responsible for the forests in the districts of Minden-Lübbecke , Herford , Lippe , Gütersloh and the city of Bielefeld. The tasks are of an economic and sovereign nature. Large areas in the area of the Regional Forestry Office Ostwestfalen-Lippe are privately owned by over 15,000 forest farmers. The task of the forest office is to provide advice.
