Regius Professor of Medicine and Therapeutics (Glasgow)
The Regius Chair of Medicine and Therapeutics is a professorship in medicine and pharmacology at the University of Glasgow and the oldest professorship there. It emerged in 1989 from the merger of the Regius Professorships for Medical Practice (founded in 1637) and Materia Medica (founded in 1831).

A lectureship for Materia Medica had existed since 1766, but was not established as a royal chair by William IV until 1831 .
