Alyaksandr Wiktarawitsch Warlamau ( Belarusian Аляксандр Віктаравіч Варламаў , Russian Александр Викторович Варламов Alexander Viktorovich Varlamov * 18 July 1979 in Voronezh ) is a former Belarusian diver Russian origin. He competed in the 10-meter tower and synchronized jumping disciplines.
Life
Warlamau initially started for his home country Russia. His first success was winning the silver medal at the 1997 European Championships in Seville in the 10-meter synchronized competition with Igor Lukashin . The duo won the bronze medal at the world championship a year later .
Since the European Championships in Berlin in 2002 , Warlamau started for Belarus. There he was able to win two bronze medals, in the individual from the tower and in synchronized jumping together with Andrej Mamantau . He won his last international medal six years later at the 2008 European Championships in Eindhoven . Together with Wadsim Kaptur , he won the silver medal in the 10 m synchronized jumping.
Varlamau took part in two Olympic Games for Belarus . In 2004 in Athens he reached place 30 on the 3-meter board and place 27 on the 10-meter tower and in 2008 in Beijing he reached place 21 on the 10-meter tower.
He ended his career after the 2009 World Cup in Rome .
