Regla María Cárdenas

Regla María Cárdenas ( Regla María Cárdenas Telo; born January 21, 1975 in Cárdenas ) is a former Cuban heptathlete and long jumper .

At the Junior World Championships in Athletics, she won bronze in the heptathlon in Seoul in 1992 and silver in Lisbon in 1994 .

In 1993 she won silver in the heptathlon at the Central American and Caribbean Athletics Championships and at the Central American and Caribbean Games .

1995 followed in this discipline another silver medal at the Central American and Caribbean Championships a sixth place at the World Athletics Championships in Gothenburg .

At the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, she was eliminated in the long jump in qualification and was twelfth in the heptathlon.
