A Boa Reguladora Lda. , Reguladora for short , is a watch manufacturer that also functions as a watch manufacturer and watch restoration company. It is considered to be the oldest existing watch factory on the Iberian Peninsula .
Company history
The factory was founded in 1892 by José Gomes Carvalho, father of the later doctor and conservative politician Abílio Garcia de Carvalho .
The factory began producing mechanical wall and table clocks. In the 1950s she expanded her activities to include grandfather clocks, wristwatches and alarm clocks.
Later came u. a. also the manufacture of electronic clocks for the household and industry. The factory also produces some of its classic mechanical models to this day, often with Swiss mechanics.
