In the rehabilitation center for the hearing impaired in Rendsburg , Schleswig-Holstein , rehabilitation is carried out for the hearing impaired , the deaf and the later deaf . It has existed since 1983 and is the only facility in German-speaking countries with a focus on communication and vocational rehabilitation .

In the rehabilitation center, hearing-impaired adults with communication difficulties as well as people with hearing aids or cochlear implants are supported in reducing the consequences of hearing loss or hearing impairment in social and professional areas. During the rehabilitation, a holistic therapy concept is used in which the individual situation of those affected is taken into account.
