Tearing meter

A tear meter is a meter that in the production of meters of wood for cutting the logs is used. It consists of a one meter long wooden slat with iron fittings at the ends. One side has a tip, the other a tear to mark the measuring point. The wooden slat is usually divided into decimeters .
