Reiner von Velen (Canon)

Reiner von Velen (* in the 15th century; † July 7, 1537 ) was a canon in Münster .

Life

Reiner von Velen came from the Westphalian noble family von Velen , from which numerous well-known personalities emerged. He was the son of Hermann von Velen († 1528) and his wife Margaretha von Raesfeld . His brother Hermann was an imperial court marshal and official rescuer. On July 1st, 1529 Reiner came into the possession of a cathedral priest from Münster . He remained canon in Münster until his death.
