Reinhard Blickhan

Reinhard Blickhan (* 1951 in Eppertshausen ) is a German biologist, physicist and professor at the chair for movement science at the Friedrich Schiller University in Jena .

Career

After graduating from high school in Dieburg in 1968, he studied physics from 1969 to 1976, first at the Justus Liebig University in Giessen , then at the Technical University of Darmstadt . He then worked as an academic at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main and completed his doctoral thesis in 1983. From 1983 to 1986 he worked at Harvard University in the United States , and from 1986 to 1992 as an assistant professor at Saarland University . In 1992 he completed his habilitation.

In 1993, Blickhan took up a professorship for movement science / biomechanics at the Institute for Sports Science at the Friedrich Schiller University in Jena .

Research focus

Blickhan conducts research on biomechanics and movement physiology in humans and animals.
