Reinhard Wagner (Manager)

Reinhard Wagner (born October 30, 1948 ) is a German manager and was Chairman of the Board of Directors of BHW Bausparkasse AG and the financial services group BHW Holding AG in Hameln from 1993 to 2005 . During the same period he was a member of the board of the Association of Private Building Societies , Berlin.

biography

Wagner studied after high school in 1967 at the Schiller-Gymnasium Hameln at the University of Karlsruhe in addition to a basic technical studies economics , graduating with a Dipl.rer.pol. (Techn.) In 1971. After working in the industry , asset management , insurance and building societies he joined in 1984 joined the BHW Group, Hamelin, and after having held various board positions - u. a. Founding Chairman of BHW Lebensversicherung AG - 1993 Chairman of the Management Boards of BHW Bausparkasse AG and BHW Holding AG. He implemented a strategic repositioning and a sustainable economic turnaround as the basis for the initial public offering (IPO) in 1997 . It was included in the MDAX after just five months . The goal of being one of the leading providers in the field of ´private pension` was achieved through a massive expansion of multi-channel sales. In connection with a change of ownership, he left the company in 2005. Since then he has been active on supervisory boards and management boards in the private equity sector.

Wagner is a member of the Rotary Club Hameln, PP, PHF.
