Reinhilde Ruprecht (* 1960 ) is a German publisher .

Life

Ruprecht began studying Protestant theology at the Georg-August University in Göttingen in 1980. From 1980 to 1982 she trained as a publisher's bookseller at Verlag Eugen Ulmer in Stuttgart and then worked as a general-purpose bookseller. From the middle of 1983 to 1988 she studied Protestant theology at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich and the Friedrich Alexander University in Erlangen-Nuremberg. In addition to her studies, she was an intern for several months at the Augsburg-Fortress Press, SCM Press and United Methodist Publishing House publishers. From 1988 to 1991 she completed a doctoral degree in Systematic Theology and Religious Studies at Princeton. In 1997 she earned a PhD in Philosophy from Princeton Theological Seminary . From 1992 to 2004 she worked at the Vandenhoeck & Ruprecht publishing house , where she worked from 1992 to 2004 a. a. was responsible for the Evangelical Church Lexicon , textbooks and research literature on scientific and practical theology, the supervision of the school books and teaching materials for religious and ethics lessons as well as for the theological magazine program. In 1998 she became managing partner of the Vandenhoeck & Ruprecht publishing house, the Hubert & Co. printing company and the Deuerlich bookstore, which was part of her management team from 2001 until it was sold in 2004. She had been a partner in the Vandenhoeck & Ruprecht publishing house since 1993. In 2003 she founded V & R unipress as a subsidiary . At the end of 2004 she left the management of the publishing houses Vandenhoeck & Ruprecht and V & R unipress as well as the printing company Hubert & Co. She has been the publisher of Edition Ruprecht since 2005 . She is the deputy chairwoman of the Evangelical Media Association in Germany (EMVD) .
