Cavaline Nahimana (born January 14, 1997 ) is a Burundian athlete who competes in long-distance running .

Athletic career

Cavaline Nahimana gained her first international experience in 2014 at the African Youth Games in Gaborone , where she won the bronze medal in the 3,000-meter run in 9: 24.51 minutes . So she qualified for the Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing , where she finished fifth in 9: 14.45 minutes. In the following year, she finished sixth over 5000 meters at the Junior African Championships in Addis Ababa in 17: 17.33 min, as well as at the 2016 African Championships in Durban in 15: 47.90 min. At the 2017 World Cross Country Championships in Kampala , she came in 19th after 34:35 minutes, and two years later she was 37th at the 2019 World Cross Country Championships in Aarhus in 39:21 minutes. In August, she took part in the 5000 meter run participated in the Africa Games in Rabat for the first time and finished eighth there in 15: 57.13 minutes.
