In the first year of the club, the state championship NRW was organized by Reinhold Böhm, which was followed two years later by the international Easter race through the Unna district, which was the showpiece of the RSV and the city of Unna for 25 years.

Five German championships and countless other races were made possible and organized by Reinhold Böhm. For 2018 Böhm was planning another German championship in the Unna district. On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the club, he wanted to organize the German U23 championship and then, after half a century, resign as managing director of the club.
