Reinhold Brückmann

Carl Reinhold Brückmann (born July 15, 1823 in Dresden , † 1863 in Chile ) was a German professor of mathematics.

Life

Reinhold Brückmann passed his matriculation examination at the Dresden Kreuzschule and studied from 1840 to 1844 at the Bergakademie Freiberg . He then worked in mining and mechanical engineering.

From December 1847 he worked as an assistant teacher for mechanics, machine drawing and physics at the royal trade school in Chemnitz; from September 1848 he also taught machine science and mechanical technology there. On June 21, 1850 he was employed as a teacher for theoretical mechanics, machine theory, machine drawing, mechanical technology and spinning mechanics.

On August 1, 1853, he became a professor of mathematics at the Bergakademie Freiberg. Two years later, he asked to be released for health reasons.

He emigrated to Chile , where he was involved in the management of metallurgical processes and died in 1863.
