Reinhold Kruppa

Reinhold Kruppa (* 1933 in Berlin ) is a retired German history methodologist.

Kruppa received his doctorate in 1965 at the Central Pedagogical Institute with a dissertation on history and methodology. He was promoted to head of the history department at the Institute for Social Science Teaching at the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of the GDR and was thus largely responsible for the curricula, textbooks and teaching aids in history teaching . With Bruno Gentner , he published the history lesson methodology, which shaped the classroom, in 1975 . In the 1980s, a modernization was to be worked out, published by Kruppa, Wendelin Szalai and Hannolore Iffert , but it was no longer published. With the liquidation of the APW, Kruppa retired, but still worked on Wolfgang Hug's school books for Diesterweg Verlag .
