Vyacheslav Futorny

Vyacheslav M. Futorny (* 1961 ) is a Ukrainian mathematician who deals with affine Lie algebras and their representation theory.

Futorny received his doctorate in 1987 at the University of Kiev under Juri Drozd (dissertation: Weight modules on semi-simple Lie algebras) and completed his habilitation there in 1995. He is a professor at the University of Sao Paulo.

Futorny is invited speaker at the International Congress of Mathematicians in Rio de Janeiro 2018.
