Wolfgang Hasberg

Wolfgang Hasberg (born May 14, 1961 in Cologne ) is a German historian and history teacher at the University of Cologne .

Life

Hasberg studied history, Catholic theology and education in Cologne and Bonn (1981–1987). After completing his doctorate in 1993 at the University of Cologne, he initially worked as a research assistant for history didactics at the University of Augsburg . In 2000 Hasberg completed his habilitation at the Philosophical Faculty II of the University of Augsburg. He then took on the position of professor of didactics history at the University of Leipzig for a period of two years. In 2002 he became professor for Middle and Modern History with a focus on Rhenish history and didactics of history at the University of Cologne. In 2008 he was offered the chair for history didactics at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg .

Hasberg is a member of various scientific associations. These include the International Society for History Didactics , the International Research Association for History and Social Sciences Education and the Association of Historians in Germany .
