The Reintjes GmbH (proper spelling in capital letters ) is a German company for marine gear in the power range from 250 to 30,000 kW, based in Hameln . In 2015 it produced around 865 gearboxes at the Hameln headquarters . A total of 90,000 units were delivered. In 2012, the export quota including indirect exports was around 90%.

history

A mechanical workshop was founded in Emmerich am Rhein in 1879. The first gearbox deliveries were made in 1929. The company moved from Emmerich to Hameln in 1950. In 1962, the Eugen Reintjes Foundation was established to promote health and social services in the City of Hameln.

In 1993, Reintjes Asia Pacific Pte Ltd was founded in Singapore and the following year Reintjes España, SA in Madrid . In 1995 Reintjes Middle East LLC was founded in Dubai . In 2004 Reintjes GmbH took over its European customer with the highest turnover at the time, AMW Antwerpse Motorenwerke NV in Antwerp and continued it under the name Reintjes Benelux BVBA. Reintjes Asia Pacific Pte Ltd opened a representative office in Shanghai and Trans-Matic Pte Ltd was taken over in Singapore. In 2007 a new turning, drilling and grinding center as well as a vertical machining center followed. In 2009 the office building was increased with a new test and service hall. Internationally, the company has built up a global sales and service network with its own subsidiaries and agencies.

Products

Since its inception, the company has specialized in the manufacture of marine gearboxes. The power range was expanded to 250 to 30,000 kW. Areas of application are work boats (250 - 30,000 kW), fast ships (350 - 5,000 kW) and fast ferries (600 - 13,200 kW). Since 2011 gearboxes for steam turbines, gas turbines and compressors have also been manufactured and sold.
