Reiulf Steen
Reiulf Steen (born August 16, 1933 in Hurum , † June 5, 2014 in Oslo ) was a Norwegian politician .
At the age of 14 he was chairman of the local workers' party . He worked briefly as a factory worker, but then became a journalist for the Fremtiden newspaper in Drammen .
From 1965 to 1975 he was deputy chairman and from 1975 to 1981 chairman of the Norwegian Labor Party.
From 1971 to 1972 Steen was Minister of Transport and from 1979 to 1981 Minister of Commerce. From 1977 to 1989 he was a member of parliament for the former Akershus Province .
He showed particular interest in Latin America and was appointed ambassador to Chile in 1991. He stayed in this office for five years.
