René Amengual Astaburuaga

René Amengual Astaburuaga (born September 2, 1911 in Santiago de Chile , † August 2, 1954 ibid) was a Chilean composer .

Life

Amengual studied at the Conservatory of Santiago under Pedro Umberto Allende Sarón . He became a teacher in 1935 and director of the conservatory in 1947.

In addition to neoclassical orchestral works, he composed a piano concerto, a harp concerto, two string quartets , piano pieces as well as motets and madrigals .
