René Keffel

René Keffel (born January 14, 1968 ) is a former German soccer goalkeeper .

As an A-youth, Keffel moved from his hometown club SV Bonames to Viktoria Preußen Frankfurt, where he was most recently active in the men's division. In 1986 he moved to Kickers Offenbach . There he started with the reserve team and joined the first team a few years later. In 1994 he was with the OFC in the final of the German Amateur Championship, where they lost to Preußen Münster with 0-1 goals. Keffel played seven games in the 2nd Bundesliga in 1999/2000 , otherwise he played with the OFC in the upper and regional leagues . There the 1.86 m tall Keffel was meanwhile the goalkeeper.

Since 2004 he has been working as a goalkeeping coach at Kickers. He also runs a goalkeeping school.
