René Rieubon
René Rieubon (born March 4, 1918 in La Grand-Combe , † January 13, 2011 ) was a French communist politician. From 1962 to 1986 he was a member of the National Assembly . He was also the mayor of Port-de-Bouc for many years .
Life
In addition to his longstanding activity as a member of the French Communist Party , Rieubon was mayor of Port-de-Bouc since the liberation of southern France in 1944. He held this office until 1990. After his death on January 13, 2011, he was honored by his successor as mayor (1990-2005), Michel Vaxès .
