René Truninger (2019)

René Truninger (born September 10, 1967 in Rickenbach ZH ) is a Swiss politician ( SVP ) and entrepreneur .

Life

Truninger was elected to the municipal council of Illnau-Effretikon in 2010 and to the auditing commission (RPK) in 2011 and took over the office of parliamentary group president in 2014.

In 2015, Truninger was elected to the Cantonal Council of the Canton of Zurich for the Pfäffikon district at the first attempt . There he sat on the Education and Health Supervisory Commission, which he chaired from November 2015 to April 2019.

In March 2019 he was re-elected to the Cantonal Council in the Pfäffikon district with the best result, where he is a member of the Commission for Social Security and Health. The SVP delegates of the Canton of Zurich nominated Truninger for the National Council list in May 2019.

Truninger lives in Effretikon, is married and has two children.
