Renate Fischer (linguist)

Renate Fischer (* 1952 in Berlin ) is a German linguist.

Life

After her doctorate (on the variability of language use in aphasia) in Hamburg in 1983, she taught as a professor (C3) for linguistics of sign language with a focus on lexicography and history at the University of Hamburg from 1994 to 2015 .
