Renate Pacher (born October 25, 1960 in Knittelfeld ) is an Austrian politician ( KPÖ ) and city councilor in Knittelfeld. From 2005 to 2010, Pacher was also a member of the Styrian state parliament .

Life

Pacher completed her school education in Knittelfeld with the Matura and subsequently completed an apprenticeship at the training institute for chemical technicians in Graz . She is an engineer and was most recently a party employee of the KPÖ.

Pacher has represented the KPÖ in the Knittelfeld municipal council since 1993. She comes from a communist family and was involved in the stationing of fighter jets in Zeltweg for the KPÖ. Pacher ran in the state elections in 2005 in fourth place on the KPÖ state list and was sworn in as a member of the state parliament of Styria after the successful election on October 25, 2005 . In the Styrian state election on September 26, 2010, the KPÖ lost two seats, which meant that Renate Pacher, who was third on the state list, lost her seat.

In the municipal council election in Knittelfeld on March 21, 2010, the KPÖ increased with Renate Pacher as the top candidate from 10.2 to 11.9 percent, since then Pacher has been a councilor in her home town.
