Renato De Carmine

Renato De Carmine (born January 25, 1923 in Rome , † July 18, 2010 in Rome ) was an Italian actor and voice actor .

Life

Since the late 1940s, De Carmine has appeared on the stage, in film and for television. After completing a law degree, he attended the Accademia Nazionale d'Arte Drammatica and the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome and started his career in radio.

He began his theater career at the Stabilo di Milano and from 1961 worked there at the Piccolo Teatro under Giorgio Strehler , under whom he celebrated great success in numerous roles. He also worked with Franco Zeffirelli and Jérôme Savary . As a voice actor, he lent his voice to Rod Taylor, among others . He has appeared in 65 productions in film and television.

De Carmine was awarded the Fondazione Giorgio Almirante's Lifetime Achievement Prize in June 2001 .
