Rendezvous Records was an American music label based in Los Angeles, which was active from 1958 to 1963 .

The songwriter Leon René , who had been in the R&B and jazz business with Class Records since 1951 , founded the Rendezvous Record Company with Rod Pierce and Gordon Wolf to publish pop music . The label's biggest hit was a number 4 chart placement for Ernie Fields ' version of the Glenn Miller classic In the Mood . Ernie Fields' Orchestra was the house band of Class Records and Rendevouz, consisting of Ernie Freeman on piano, René Hall on guitar, Plas Johnson on saxophone and Earl Palmer on drums. Under the name B. Bumble & the Stingers, the band achieved two top 30 placements with the Bumble Boogie and the Nut Rocker , which were produced by the young Kim Fowley . Rendezvous released around 220 singles and a good ten albums, some of which were new editions from the class repertoire.
