Pension insurance for workers

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The workers' pension insurance was a branch of the statutory pension insurance in Germany.

After the imperial embassy of 1881 , on the initiative of Otto von Bismarck, pension insurance was introduced for workers. The distinction between the pension insured workers and employees remained the same in spite of the legal basis of contribution and pension calculation even by 2004.

After the organizational reform of the statutory pension insurance on October 1, 2005, the separation ( Federal Insurance Agency for Salaried Employees , State Insurance Agency for Workers) was lifted. The tasks are now performed by one of the German pension insurance providers .
