Renzo Avanzo

Renzo Avanzo (born January 23, 1911 in Rome , † March 23, 1989 ibid) was an Italian documentary filmmaker .

Life

Avanzo worked in the feature film sector as an assistant to u. a. Roberto Rossellini , in whose Paisà he was an actor, and Jean Renoir ; In 1950 he worked with William Dieterle to direct Vulcano . He also appeared as a screenwriter. As a documentarist, he published a number of works from 1946 to 1949. These strips were produced by Panaria Film , which he founded with friends and colleagues Pietro Moncada , Quintino di Napoli and Francesco Alliata . In 1954 he returned to feature film as director of the second staff at Siluri umani .
