Representative of German Industry and Trade (RGIT) is the liaison office of the Federal Association of German Industry (BDI) and the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DIHK) in Washington, DC Since July 1, 2016, Daniel Andrich has been the delegate of the German economy .

On behalf of business in Germany, RGIT represents their political positions and concerns vis-à-vis the federal government of the United States , the United States Congress and the international organizations in Washington. In addition, the liaison office maintains contacts with companies, business associations, political foundations and think tanks and reports regularly on current economic policy developments in the USA. The aim of RGIT is to promote transatlantic free trade and to create favorable economic conditions for sustainable economic growth, jobs and innovations in German-American economic relations. The RGIT cooperates with the German Society for International Cooperation in North America .
The Federal Association of German Industry and the German Chamber of Industry and Commerce are the sponsors of the RGIT. RGIT is supported by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy within the framework of foreign trade promotion .

- Cooperation with the German-American Chambers of Commerce Abroad (AHK USA) in New York, Atlanta and Chicago; Information service and support for 2,500 member companies of the AHK USA
