Resima mamlachtit

Reshima mamlachtit ( Hebrew רשימה ממלכתית, State List ), was a political party in Israel .

history

The Reschima mamlachtit party was founded in 1969 by David Ben-Gurion . He did this because his original Rafi - against his wishes - had previously been absorbed by the labor party Avoda . The “state list” received 3.1% of the seats and four seats in the Knesset in the 1969 parliamentary election . After Ben-Gurion's death in 1973 and Meir Avizohar's transition to the HaMaʿarach faction, the two remaining members of the Reshima mamlachtit , Jigal Hurwitz and Zalman Shoval , joined the right-wing Likud alliance for the next election in 1974 .

In the 9th Knesset legislature, however, the party was revived when Hurwitz, Shoval and Jitzchak Peretz left the Likud and on January 26, 1981 founded the Rafi National List . The party only lasted briefly, however, as Hurwitz and Shoval joined the new Telem party , while Peretz returned to Likud. 1983 Hurvitz left the Telem party to re-found Rafi - National List , which he later renamed Ometz .
