The Retreat Hills (literally from the English translated retreat hills ) are a group of hills in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . They are located on the south side of the head end of the Astronaut Glacier along the southern edge of the Evans Firnfield .
The northern group of a New Zealand Geological Survey Antarctic Expedition campaign carried out from 1962 to 1963 named them in the wake of a blizzard that thwarted their intention to visit the hills and forced them to retreat quickly.
