Reute (Radolfzell)

Reute is a residential area of Böhringen , one of six villages in the city of Radolfzell on Lake Constance in the district of Konstanz in Baden-Württemberg .

Geographical location

The hamlet-like Hofgruppe Reute is located in the Böhringen district at 410  m above sea level. NHN about two kilometers northeast of the village.

history

Individual archaeological finds in the Reute district refer to Bronze Age (Gewann "Ried") and Roman Age (Reutehof) traces of settlement. Around 1925 an ornate bronze trumpet-headed needle was found while cutting peat in the “Ried” area. On August 12, 1968, it was given to the Hegau Archaeological Museum in the historic Singen Castle on permanent loan.

Reute was first mentioned in 1281 as Ruthi and at the beginning of the 14th century as Hofgut Rüti . Reute belonged to the Radolfzell territory since 1538.
