In 1968 the first AK consumer market was opened. In 1969 a new central butcher was built. The first Rewe Center was opened in 1973, and Michael Brücken was taken over in 1977 . In 1982, Rewe Dortmund merged with around 200 stores in the "Rewe Rhein-Lippe" group. In 1990 the BUBI fresh service for dairy products was taken over. In 1995 "Michael Brücken" took over the AK stores and both chains were bundled into "kaufpark". Two years later the chains “Brülle & Schmelzer” and “Deschauer” were added, in 1998 “Groka” in Solingen. In 2003, 53 “Combi” supermarkets were taken over by Bremke and Hoerster and also mainly to Kaufpark branches. The stores of "FBL Fruchtbörse Limberg GmbH" were gradually sold from May 2005 onwards. From April 2012, the remaining FBL stores were gradually changed to REWE and with the closure of the store in Dortmund-Bodelschwingh at the end of June 2012, the brand disappeared from retail. In the summer of 2015, the Michael-Brücken-Kaufpark Kaufpark stores were reflagged to reflect the uniform corporate design of REWE and now operate under REWE-Ihr-Kaufpark.
