The Reynolds-Alberta Museum is an industrial museum in Wetaskiwin , in the Canadian province of Alberta . It was established in 1992. It is part of 18 museums and historical sites owned and operated by the Province of Alberta. Dedicated to the spirit of the machine , the museum traces the history of the mechanization of transportation, aviation, agriculture and industry in Alberta between 1890 and 1970, when horse-drawn carts were replaced by cars and trucks, village blacksmiths were replaced by large factories, and animal- and human-powered agricultural implements by mechanical equipment.

The exhibits document the impact this period of rapid change had on the everyday life of Alberta residents.
