Reza Shah-Kazemi

Seyyed Reza Shah-Kazemi (* 1960 ) is an Islamic scholar and author based in the United Kingdom. He conducts research at the Institute of Ismaili Studies in London . His main focus is comparative mysticism , especially in Sufism and Shiaism .

Life

He is Managing Editor of Encyclopaedia Islamica , the English translation and edition of the forthcoming multi-volume Persian Great Islamic Encyclopedia (دائرة المعارف بزرگ اسلامی / Da'irat al-Ma'arif-i Buzurg-i Islami).

He was one of the 138 signatories of the open letter a common word between us and you ( english A Common Word Between Us and You ), the personalities of Islam to "leaders of Christian churches everywhere" (English: "Leaders of Christian Churches, everywhere ..." ) (October 13, 2007).

In 2009 he was included in the list of the 500 Most Influential Muslims by the Prince al-Walid-bin-Talal Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding at Georgetown University and the Royal Islamic Strategic Studies Center of Jordan .
